Bridal Decadence

Friday July, 19th

Friday last week saw the celebration of an event fast becoming as significant a date in the calendars of the well-heeled as Royal Ascot or Henley Regatta.

Yes, it was Bridal Decadence - July Brides, presented by Miss Debbie Diamante and Lady Shagwell-Swallows at their country residence known as Tranny Grange. And what a glorious occasion this was, eclipsing even last year's Bridal Bash, with MORE brides, MORE guests, MORE props, MORE champagne and even MORE delicious food. And the cost of this momentous extravaganza ? Just £10 per person and a bottle. It was fabulous. Even the gods smiled on us and granted us a fine warm summer's day.

The day began for Nicki & Debs at 8am. There was food to prepare, tables to lay, decorations to hang, balloons to blow up as well as a mattress to accommodate as many of our guests as possible; there was the gazebo to erect (that was my job - well I DO love a good erection <giggle>) as well as locks to fix on the toilet doors - not that any of our guests have ever complained, although they may do now !

Anyway enough ! Staging an event like Decadence requires teamwork and we had an excellent team to help us. Roy and Judy, Debbie's Dad and Mum came over around 10.30 to tidy the garden and help prepare food. Stella arrived soon after to help with the banners and gazebo, and before long the house and garden was transformed from just a plain old quiet residence, into a hive of bustling activity. Around 1o'clock we were joined by Stephanie from Detroit who joined in the teamwork, and then went off to the Railway Station to pick up Jo from the Isle of Wight.

Here is the story of how the day unfolded ………….
